The Pilea peperomioides is also known as the Chinese Money Plant, Pancake, or UFO Plant. My favorite nickname though, is The Friendship Plant.
Native to China, it is believed that a Norwegian missionary took cuttings with him when he returned home in the 1940s. And the way that this plant spread in popularity was through the sharing of its pups (babies). This is also why this plant is also known as the Friendship Plant.
Inspired by that history, I have two Pilea sizes available, that way you can purchase another Pilea Pin for a friend or loved one. So that you too can continue to help share this beautiful plant.
There is an option to purchase a discounted Friendship Set, which will include one Large Pilea Pin and one Small Pilea Pin, both on one card. If you would like each on their own card back, please let me know in the comments section when you checkout.
While hiking a trail outside of Seattle, I was enthralled by the darling little pine cones that I would find lining the forest floor. This sweet little pine cone pin is a wonderful reminder to get outside, to breathe the fresh air, and is the perfect accent for any nature lover.
Whenever you wear this pin, you can find kindred, plant-loving spirits wherever life takes you.
I believe that the best conversations are always had when people are excited to share. And with proud plant parents, they are always so happy to share information, their experience, photos of their collection, and even plant cuttings.
This pin was inspired by a community plant swap event that I hosted in Seattle. It was so wonderful to pull together complete strangers that were all so happy to share. And who knows, this sweet little pin could be the very thing you need to help start a plant-focused community where you live too.
The Protea plant, also fondly referred to as Sugarbushes, are native to South Africa. They are believed to have been named after Proteus, the son of Poseidon in Greek Mythology. Proteus could change his shape at will, and the Protea plant has over 1,400 different varieties.
It is because of this that the protea flower symbolizes change and transformation, and in the language of flowers, it also means diversity and courage.
Interpreted into a beautiful keepsake enamel pin, it features dark green leaves, rose pink floral outer petals, or bracts and a blush pink center.
Made out of luxe, hard enamel cloisonné with a high polished 10K Gold base, it is also presented on a bright and beautiful illustrated card back.
This stunning pin was inspired by the darling Rhaphidophora tetrasperma. Native to Southern Thailand and Malaysia, this incredibly sweet plant has many names. Often mistaken for a Philodendron or a Monstera, this aroid is also known as a Mini Monstera, or a Monstera Ginny.
It is a highly sought after plant due to its uniquely fenestrated leaves and very sweet smaller size. And while it may be nearly impossible to find the actual plant to add to your collection, this gorgeous pin is a truly stunning addition to any lapel, scarf or top.
This pretty pin is also plated in 10K Gold which makes it stand out as a statement pin.
This gorgeous pin is the perfect minimalist accent to celebrate such a beautiful plant. This pin would be so striking on a lapel when worn on a top, or affixed to a tie, scarf, purse or backpack.
This woody evergreen herb has distinct needle-like leaves and has a number of uses. From the leaves, flowers to the twigs, every part of it can be used for teas, processed into an essential oil, and is also a very important herb in Mediterranean cuisine.
Rosemary was also believed to be a love charm in the Middle Ages. The bride would wear the rosemary as a floral crown, and the groom and wedding guests would all wear a sprig of rosemary.
This pin with a gorgeous subtle monochromatic shading is the perfect pin for any gardener, cook, chef or plant lover.

The Sage Leaf is a sweet symbol of strength, wisdom and has a storied history among several cultures around the world.
Sage is associated with immortality in Celtic tradition. In ancient Egypt, it was used to promote fertility in women. Native Chinese sage was written about as long ago as 206 BC and was believed to give those that consume it physical strength and wisdom.
Today, modern sage brooms are used to cleanse spaces of negative influence.
Sage is used as a drying agent, it can clear mucus congestion and relieve night sweats, while also treating wounds and sore throats.
Sage is also a beautiful addition to many dishes too. A little brown butter-fried sage is the perfect easy way to spice up any basic pasta dish like store-bought tortellini.
This gorgeous pin is plated in 10K Gold and is a lovely addition to any outfit. This would be a darling gift for anyone who loves autumnal dishes, a chef, someone who practices traditional medicine, or someone who inspires you.
The wonderful feeling of that first flake of snow, drifting to the ground on a cold, crisp winter day is what I hoped to capture in this beautiful 10K Gold snowflake pin. Featuring the intricate sixfold symmetry, this pin is a beautiful and lovely addition to any winter coat, mittens, tie or bag and to serve as a reminder of the endearing childlike awe of standing outside on a quiet night as the snow begins to fall.
The gorgeous Stephania Nova is a tuberous house plant that is native to Thailand. It is affectionately known as the “Potato Plant” because of its large bulb base. This sweet plant is a wonderful addition to any plant collection.
I also adore the nickname Potato Plant. 🥔☺️
This incredibly cute hard enamel Cloisonne mini-pin would be such a darling addition to any pin collection. It would be so sweet as a collar pin, a modern tie pin, as an accent pin, or as a pretty board filler.
Studies have shown that when you incorporate plants into your home and your workspace, it cleans the air, reduces stress, increases productivity, boosts creativity and increases overall levels of happiness.
Featuring a few of my favorite desert- dwelling plants, this detailed pin will make for a beautiful addition to any lapel or bag. It will also make it especially easy to take your plants with you wherever life takes you.
This aromatic evergreen herb is easily cultivated and can also be found growing wild on mountain highlands. This beautiful delicate herb with its hardy stem has a number of culinary, medicinal and ornamental uses. It is also a common part in bouquet garni and in herbes de Provence in Provençal style cooking.
This pin with its bright gold polish is the perfect pin for any gardener, cook, chef or plant lover.
Never lose a pin again! Upgrade all of your Pin Backs to these Locking Tie Tacks.
These are the exact same Tie Tack Backs that I use for all of my pins. They are brass plated. It is an incredibly secure option, and perfect if you want to wear your pin on your jacket or a bag. They essentially "lock" into place and a mechanism has to be moved in order to release it from the pin post. It is a high-end option that is great if you are concerned about losing your pin as you wear it.
TIPS ON REMOVING THE TIE TACK BACK: Lift the tie tack by grasping the flat, thin “cap” at the very top to unlock the Tie Tack. There is a spring in the tie tack, and this action moves the spring. This will work 99% of the time. It does occasionally stick. If it is still difficult to remove, you should reset before you try to lift the flat part away again. You can "reset" it by compressing the Tie Tack back onto the pin until it is as compact as possible. And when you're lifting by the flat brim, try to twist your hand as well, like you're removing a cork from a bottle.
Please note, since they are plated in brass, discoloration and small scratches are normal. And they will always have an overall shiny, gold finish.
Approximate Dimensions for the Tie Tack: 1cm wide and 7cm tall
The Tradescantia albiflora 'Nanouk' has particularly striking leaves. The leaves vary in color from a pale creamy pink to bright magenta, and the green streaks vary from extremely soft to a deep dark green. Keep an eye out for its darling white flowers!
While most Tradescantia originate from South America, this particular variety was cultivated in 2012 in the Netherlands and patented in 2017.
This stunning pin with its unique variegation is the perfect pin for any plant collector.
This pin features an illustration that Samantha made for the "Growing Joy" Book written by Maria Failla!
This darling set of three flower pins were inspired by the sweet wildflowers that seem to be scattered throughout the woods. You can wear all of them separately, all together at once, or mix and match and make them yours.
