They are typically extremely ornate and are traditionally suspended above the dinner table during the holiday season. It is thought that the larger the Himmeli, the larger the rye crop will be in the coming year.

Long, hot summer days, warm air filled with the heavy scent of flowers, the low buzz of pollinators, drunk and lazily flittering from flower to flower. That was the feeling, that was the moment, that was the scent memory I wanted to capture.

I worked with my unbelievably talented new friend Kacie @kaciemcmackin of @kingsanddaughters to hand make these beautiful bars of soap here in the Pacific Northwest.

Made with a mix of olive oil, coconut oil, canola oil, jojoba oil, shea butter, castor oil, and cocoa butter. These cold processed soaps are extremely moisturizing and lathers beautifully. They have swirls of pink and green french clay and are finished off with the sweetest mix of dried flowers, making each one so unique.
